Peter Ungar was born in London and trained at the Architectural Association and Cambridge University. After graduation he worked for Michael Hopkins and Partners from 2000 to 2003 and for Jamie Fobert Architects from 2003 to 2007.

He started ungar architects in 2006 designing a pool house in Laurel Canyon, Los Angeles and has subsequently completed a major house refurbishment in Hampstead Garden Suburb, London, with several other projects in progress in the Hampstead area,

Throughout his career he has worked on prestigious buildings including the New Parliament Building and Glyndebourne Opera House at Michael Hopkins & Partners and at Jamie Fobert Architects a 15,000 square feet family home overlooking the city of Port of Spain, Trinidad. The majority of these projects have been in highly sensitive areas and he has significant experience within Conservation areas.

The work of the office is characterised by an attention to detail and willingness to take on the challenges set by both the client and the site.
